{Guest Post} Celebrity Crushes

Today, I have Rebekah L. Purdy, author of The Romeo Club on The Reading Obsession, writing about her favorite celebrity crushes:
So, I have to admit that I have a few celebrity crushes. But who doesn’t? LOL. I think it’s kind a rite of passage as a writer. Or at least it is for me and some of my writer friends. At times, some of these celebrities become our inspiration for certain characters. And of course, I have a list of my fave celeb guys…feel free to pipe in and let me know what yours are!

I have to say, that Ian Somerhalder is top of my list. He is smoldering, has beautiful eyes, and can pull off sexy like nobody’s business. And he plays Damon Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries (one of my favorite TV shows). When he gives that crooked smile, I seriously melt! Plus, he does a lot of to help animals, the environment etc. He’s gorgeous and a do-gooder.

Also, I admit I have a huge crush on Johnny Depp.
*Whistles* He’s one of these kind of quirky guys, who just kind of jumps off the screen at you. Even as Captain Jack Sparrow, there was something hot about him (LOL). Maybe it was the tats or eye makeup, not sure—but I love the way he just kind of stands out and makes you take notice.

Okay, now I know some of you are going to laugh at me for this one, but I think Taylor Lautner is a doll. He’s got the prettiest smile, he’s pretty built, and he seems SO nice. And he can be bad ass when he wants to be too! Plus he’s originally from my home state of Michigan so he gets extra points for that. Now don’t tell me you all didn't freak out when he ripped his shirt off in the Twilight Series.

Finally, there’s Chris Hemsworth. Holy frick, love this guy. He’s got
a hot accent, he’s built, and he reminds me of a character in one of my books. He’s got kind of a naughty smile and he always plays these tough characters. Loved him in Thor and in Snow White and the Huntsman. He played these epic, tough guys, and could wield a sword (woot-woot for that).

What about you? Are there any celebs that you collect posters for or have to see their movies a billion times?
Rebekah's book comes out on the 25th, and you can pre-order it here.

Feature & Follow: Change of Reading Habits

This is a blog hop, a way to find and follow new blogs.
Hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.
How have your reading habits changed in the past few years? Did you get interested in a new genre? Do you read more? Less? Why do you think your habits changed, if they did.

Hmm... I'm reading less than I used to, since I'm a lot more busy this year. This makes me very, very sad.

Also, I'm starting to get into Historical Romance, particularly around the Regency era and about Scottish Highlanders. But really, when a lot of them they look something like this:

Can you really blame me?

I'm also reading books mainly centered around romance. I know I used to read crime novels, or high fantasy books a year or two ago. Maybe. But now, all I'm doing is reading about romance. I blame it on the guys looking like this:

Or:

I think you can tell I've been looking for a chance to post these pictures with a good reason.

So, what about you awesome people? What's changed for you?

Feature & Follow: Outdoor Reading

This is a blog hop, a way to find and follow new blogs.
Hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

If you've been around the book blogging community, then you'd know that almost every blogger ever uses this meme. So I, because of my unfailing ability to succumb to peer pressure and the fact that "All the cool kids are doing it!" is making me attempt to try this.

So. Um. Well, you see, to answer the question, which is where my favorite place to read outside is, I hate being outside. With a passion. I find the weather too hot, or sunny, or cold, or rainy, or windy, or just weird. So my favorite place to read that might contribute as being outside is in a library. See? It's outside of my house, and it's filled with books and wi-fi. Also, if anyone talks too loud, I can always shush them.

On another note, hey! I'm back. You can now read my nonsensical rants that somehow manage to pass off as reviews.

Hiatus

I feel like I should tell all of you that the reason I'm not posting as much is because I'm not currently back at a computer. I should get back to my regular posting schedule around next Saturday (Week of 3/10/14). I love you all and wish the best of books onto you.
